This 407 foot tall tower features an observation deck where you can witness panoramic views of the Smokies and browse informative exhibits about the facts and history of the Smoky Mountains. The tower is served by a pair of comfortable glass elevators that have a capacity of 20 persons each. Once at the top, take advantage of the free viewfinders that are placed around the observation platform!
3. Aerial Tramway at Ober Gatlinburg
As one of the most popular attractions in the Smoky Mountains, the Aerial Tramway provides guests with a breathtaking 2.1 mile ride from downtown Gatlinburg to the amusement park and ski area at Ober Gatlinburg. The newest way to view the Smoky Mountains from an aerial perspective is on the Anakeesta Chondola, which is conveniently located in the heart of downtown Gatlinburg at 576 Parkway. This ski lift style attraction is the first of its kind to be built in the United States as it features both 4 person quad chairs AND enclosed gondola cabins with seating for 6! After selecting your style of lift, relax for the scenic ride up 600 feet to the summit of Anakeesta Mountain. Once at the top, enter the whimsical Firefly Village and enjoy the spectacular views from above!
